The Annual Plant Sale
10th July - Appeal for more plants
The plant stall in Leysters is still going strong thanks to all the contributors who have provided a continuous stream of varied and colourful plants over the last months or so.
We have raised a significant amount already that has been handed over to the local churches, but we are looking for more!
In order to continue this venture, we are in need of more plant contributions of any shape and colour - all we ask is that should you feel that you can help, you label your plants and if not in flower a short description would be most helpful.
If you have a plant in the wrong place or getting too large for it's spot, please consider us when you move/reduce anything that could be displayed on our table. Delivery can be made at any time - just pop them over the gate or under the hedge and they'll be sorted into prices according to size.
18th June - Update - Local made Jams and Chutneys
We now also have an assortment of local hand made jams and chutneys available.
15th June - Thank you
We are most grateful to Susie for her initiative and ongoing enthusiasm in selling plants in aid of Kimbolton Church in the absence of the usual annual sale.
Susie has been a great producer and a knowledgeable salesperson at our plants sales for several years. Thank you Susie for all your efforts, past and present – much appreciated!
26th May - Plant Sale
With the cancellation of the Annual Plant Sale HGC members found themselves with a whole mass of plants and nowhere to sell them.
Therefore there is now a plant 'table' outside The Ghorst in Leysters with a whole raft of plants for all sized gardens and all aspects, be they full sun, full shade or somewhere in between.
The variety is forever changing with the season and as plants mature and come into flower, there is a small selection of herb and vegetable plant too, so please do pop by.
There's easy parking in the large farm gateway and the table is usually out from about 9.30am until 7pm.
There is an honesty box and all the takings will be going to Kimbolton Church - as it would had the sale gone ahead.
We would like to thank all those who have contributed plants to the table including those who anonymously leave plants with no notes attached - all offerings are gratefully received, so should you find yourselves with 'excess' plants and would like to add yours to the mix please do drop them off at any time.
An updated report will also appear in the next issue of the Parish Magazine
