Talk Community Covid-19 Response: Hampton Ward

Covid-19 update from Herefordshire Council - 1st June - from Lorna Williamson

Good morning,

I would like to say hello and introduce myself as the Talk Community Link Worker for Hampton Ward.  Bethany Lewis and I had a brief handover last week in preparation for today and so hopefully I can continue to work alongside your community just as successfully.  I am also the link worker for Leominster wards and have built a good relationship with Leominster Town Council during this period.

I believe that it has been fairly quiet of recent weeks in Hampton Ward but if there is anything that you feel is of relevance for me to know then please do get in touch. We get daily updates of any new support requests across the county and so as before, if anything is bought to my attention then I will respond with your support.

In the meantime, best wishes

Covid-19 update from Herefordshire Council - 29th May - from Beth Lewis

I just wanted to let you all know that Friday 29th May 2020 will be my last day as the Link Worker for the Hampton ward as I have been called back to my normal role as the Natural Flood Management Project Officer ( Please be reassured that the Talk Community Covid-19 response support will still remain available for the Hampton ward, although it will be overseen by a different link worker. The new link worker for Hampton will be Lorna Williamson (contact details below), who has to date been covering the Leominster ward and has helped action many support requests. I’ve already spoken with Lorna and briefed her on how things have been working in the Hampton ward.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for all of your amazing work during this crisis in supporting the most vulnerable within your communities. Your time and dedication to helping others has been remarkable and I’m very grateful for everything you have done/ are doing. It is down to your dedication and compassion that we have been able to help those in the Hampton ward. It has been a pleasure getting to know you all. Thank you!!

Please could you also pass on my gratitude to the volunteers within your networks, which at my last count equated to just over 100 volunteers within the Hampton ward!

Thanks again and keep safe,
